If you visit Science Gallery cafe in the next two weeks, you may notice a rather beautiful table and chairs in the "point" of the cafe. These are a physical manifestation of Grace Weir's new work OneOnOneOnOne and are available to be used by participants of the project to meet, converse and share ideas. 

OneOnOneOnOne is a project by Grace Weir, initiated during her Artist-in-Residence, in the School of Physics and Science Gallery.

On the 24th of May 2012, an ambitious experiment was launched as part of HAPPY?, our 2012 Lab in the Gallery. The National Happiness Experiment would last for six weeks, enlist 3,309 participants, and would test - via text message - the mood of the nation.

As part of the SFI Speaker Series, Science Gallery will host a talk by Phil Campbell (Tomb Raider, James Bond), where he takes as a case-study The Godfather game, which took an established and respected “brand” from fixed media to triple-A interactive.

QRZar is a free person vs person game using location and QR codes, like a form of laser tag using smartphones. At the start of the game you are given a unique QR code, on a t-shirt or sticker. The aim of the game is to tag as many people as you can using the application which uses your camera. All you need is an Android, iOS or WP7 smartphone with a front-facing camera."
