Why your friends are unhealthy, why museums give away their art, and why twitter knows more about you... than you do.
It's Science Friday, and we're in a disco nap till Lovelab kicks off, so in the mean time, what's going on at other funky museums around the world?
Well, you could creative-commons your museum, like the Brooklyn Museum has done (warning, HuffPost link).
But if everybody can copy your artefacts, installations, and works of art, why have anything in a museum at all? Just go virtual like the MAV (Virtual Museum of Archaeology) in Italy.
Or maybe virtual archaeology doesn't cut it for you, and you think it's best viewed through a glass floor, darkly.

Btw, you signed up for the Science Gallery's new Membership Plus, right? You do know it will make you smarter? That's because you'll be making connections with smart, hip folks, who share a love of art and science... and a new book coming out next month shows that just having those connections will make YOU into a smart, hip science-lover. Oh, and you should probably un-friend those ruffians and na'er-do-wells on facebook who keep poking you.
On the other hand, if you really do want unhealthy friends, join these 300 people planing on overdosing on homeopathic remedies next week over in the UK. Results not guaranteed. Or maybe that should read, Results: guaranteed not.
Whatever your online or offline connections, if you have a twitter account (BTYS does), these kids already know what you're going to do. Their BTYS project analyses social networks and makes scary-accurate predictions.
And lastly, remember our snowflake science post? The first snowflake-photographs ever taken are up for grabs. Get em while they're, er, cold.
