Science Gallery is seeking a new Education and Learning Manager

We're hiring a new Education and Learning Manager.

Reporting directly to the Science Gallery Programme Manager and Science Gallery Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and co-ordinating self-produced education programmes, workshops and public experiments in Science Gallery working with a variety of external curators, educators and other partners. The appointee will also engage a core audience of young adults (15-25) with science and emerging technologies through a programme of outreach workshops for secondary school students, particularly transition year students.

The Education and Learning Manager will additionally play a key role in feeding into the strategic objectives of the college as outlined in the college Strategic Plan 2009 – 2014 to create more opportunities for outreach and engagement with the local community and secondary schools. S/he will lead the development and leadership of Continuing Professional Development for second level teachers (Learning Lab) and its roll out on a national scale in addition to the development and delivery of Summer Innovation Camps for international and national 15 – 18 year old students at Science Gallery annually, and the promotion of international student recruitment.

The ideal candidate will have a third level qualification in Science and/or Education related discipline and 4-years proven experience in second level education sector in Ireland (post-qualification).
